2011–12 Regency Panther Season in Review
— A Season of Success!
Travel Squirts Win the St. Patty’s Day Smackdown National Division Championship!
The Squrit team went 4–0, and outscored their opponents 16–2, to win the St. Patty’s Day Smackdown National Division Championship, at the Pond in Newark, DE. The 4 opponents for the weekend included the N.J. Jaguars, Rampo Saints, Millbrock Knights and Bridgewater Bears. Timely scoring, strong defense and stellar goaltending, led to a 2–0 Championship win over the Bridgwater Bears.

Rec. Panthers Cross-Ice Mites Win the IceWorks St. Particks Day Tournament, Half-ice C Mite Division!
After dropping their first game 7–6 on a last second goal to the Dragons (Orange); the kids went on to win 4 straight games to capture the Division Championship, including a 6–4 win over the same Dragons (Orange) Team.
Other victories for the weekend included wins over DE Rough Riders, Dragons Red, Pond Penguins. For the weekend, the mites outscored their opponents 60–22.
Regency’s Rec. Squirts are Runner-Up at the York Spring Tournament, for the second year in a row.
The Rec. Squirts went undefeated for the weekend until they faced the Rooftop Selects in the Championship game.They Batted hard and had a 1–0 lead goning into the second period. Going into the third a 2 -goal deficit proved to be too great for the kids to overcome. We are very proud of how the kids played, Great job!
The Regency Panther Rec. Mites participated in the Inaugural Barnstormers’ Little Classic at Clipper Magazine Stadium Ice Park (January 8, 2012).
The Ice Park at Clipper Magazine Stadium, hosed 2 games on January 8 between Lancaster's Regency Panthers the York Devils.The games drew 249 spectators, to help raise money for “The Mix at Arbor Place”.
We would also like to thank both Lancaster County native and Philadelphia Flyers Prospect Tyler Hostetter and Dr. Shelley of Shelley Family Dentisty for thier support of our program and the event.
Panther Cross-Ice 1 & 2 Mite teams went udefeated in the 2011 Cross-Ice division of the York Thanksgiving Tournament.
Squirt B wins York Thanksgiving Tournament.
The route to the Championship included: a 4–0 win over the York Devils; 1–1 tie against the Susquehanna Stampede; and a 3–0 victory over the Exton Kings; and a quarter final 3–0 win over the York Selects.
In the Championship game, the team continued their defensive dominance with a 4–0 victory over the Harford North Stars. The win over Harford capped off a great weekend, giving up just 1 goal in 5 games.
The Peewee B team placed 2nd in the Hershey Thanksgiving Tournament!
Short-handed the kids did a fantastic job! After a strong 1–0 start in the first period, Mercer turned their game around and defeated the Peewee's 6–1 in their opening game; in game 2, the Peewee's defeated the host Hershey Jr. Bears 5–3; then against the Mercer Chiefs for the second time, the kids played hard but came up 2 goals short dropping the decision 4–2; and in the final game the kids dominated host Bears ending in an 11–3 victory.
